|We are very proud to announce that RNZRSA and project partner NZDF won a coveted New Zealand Marketing Award at the TVNZ - NZ Marketing Awards, held in Auckland on Tuesday 10 November.
The Excellence Award for ‘Marketing on a Shoestring’ acknowledges the success of a brand while evaluating the scale of the task, creativity of the marketing plan, and the originality of approach.
The Awards ceremony was held at the Cordis Hotel in Auckland and was attended by Colin Adam (RNZRSA Digital Marketing Coordinator) and Gavin Miller (Partnerships Manager) along with representatives from the NZDF who proudly received the award on stage.
Stand At Dawn was a campaign designed to get as many New Zealanders as possible to mark Anzac Day 2020 at home, while under a pandemic lockdown. The result of the campaign which ran during April had a huge impact. The team used TV, radio, web and social media channels, and even hundreds of electronic billboards to get the message out. With the help of dozens of partner organisations (who used their communications and social media channels) Kiwi families were encouraged to engage in remembrance activities at home and commemorate Anzac Day in their own special way. The result was a poignant and emotional Anzac Day, with our nation remembering our military heroes in a unique and special manner.
