At 0605,RSA/Service personnel assemble at Band Rotunda (about 70 metres South of Cenotaph. and then March to Cenotaph. Public(average 150-200) assemble on the road in front of Cenotaph Service starts at 0615 ( dawn in this area) At conclusion, rum & coffee session (plus soft drinks for children) held in Granity Pensioners Hall , about 100 m North of Cenotaph. Then, some adjourn to the Ngakawau Tavern, about 3 km North, which usually has the necessary license and also sells a good Breakfast.
