Through the words of soldiers who served with the New Zealand Mounted Rifles, this book is another important study of the Gallipoli campaign. Arriving in Gallipoli sans horses, these men were used in the pure infantry role throughout the campaign.
Terry Kinloch carried out extensive research for this work and has weaved together individual accounts of the horrors that were faced and the heroism of the “horse soldiers”.

A tribute to Terry’s work has been expressed by Dr Christopher Pugsley, who is New Zealand’s acknowledged expert in this campaign: “Echos of Gallipoli is a great read and it tells an important story. It’s a nice blend of personal account and narrative details and will add greatly to our understanding of what happened during the Gallipoli campaign.”
