ANZAC Day 2006

 

ANZAC Day services are attracting more and more young people curious to learn about their military heritage. At this year's ANZAC Day service at Ieper (Ypres) in Belgium, New Zealand AFS student Nikki Gunn spoke of her own journey of discovery of the meaning of ANZAC Day.
 

Wartime Heroine Honoured by RNZRSA

 

At a ceremony held in the National Headquarters on 28 April 2006, Nancy Wake, code-named the ‘White Mouse’ by the Gestapo during World War II, was awarded the RNZRSA's highest honour – its Badge in Gold and Life Membership.
