How RSA Can Help

One of the RSA’s major responsibilities is to ensure that all ex-servicemen and women receive the pensions and other benefits to which they, or their dependants, are entitled.

RSA assistance with making applications for War Disablement and Veterans Pensions is readily available to all ex-servicemen and women, whether or not they are members of an RSA. Those seeking assistance should in the first instance contact their local RSA Welfare Officer or the RNZRSA Senior Advisory Officer.

RNZRSA represents veterans’ interests on each of the War Pensions Claims Panels operating throughout the country and works with the War Pensions Processing Unit during the application process.

Eligibility for war pensions and allowances is determined by the War Pensions Processing Unit in Hamilton.

RNZRSA provides a free advocacy service for pensioners taking claims to the War Pensions Appeal Board.

Further information on War Disablement, Veterans and Surviving Spouse Pensions as well as a range of Special Allowances is available on-line from the War Pension Processing Unit.
