Tuatapere RSA President Syd Harvey nominated for Kiwi Battler competition

Syd, who has been a member of the RSA for 65 years, and is an RNZRSA Gold Star Badge holder, agreed to be nominated to achieve his lifetime ambition of leaving Tuatapere RSA in a good financial position before he dies.

"Becoming the Kiwi Battler recipient would achieve this goal for me", Mr Harvey told the Southland Times.

Gareth and Joanne Morgan's charitable trust, set up with some of the proceeds of the Trade Me sale, launched the competition to acknowledge those Kiwis who make significant contributions to their community.
