Auckland Art Gallery seeks veterans' stories

Next month the Auckland Art Gallery is opening an exhibition called Te Hei Tiki. Included in the exhibition are hei tiki pendants given to soldiers serving overseas during WWII. These tiki came in sterling silver with brass chains and in greenstone. If any veterans of WWII or their family members have any information, anecdotal or official, on these pendants we would deeply appreciate it if they could share their stories with us.
