War Pensions Claims Panellists

Early in 2004 the RNZRSA called for nominations for appointments to all the War Pensions Claims Panels throughout New Zealand for the period 1 May 2004 to 30 April 2007.

Unfortunately there have been a number of problems with the nomination and selection processes and as a consequence the RNZRSA and VANZ have agreed that the Secretary for War Pensions should ask the RSA Claims Panellists, for whom the delegation of the Secretary’s powers had ceased on 30 April 2004, to continue for a period of six months from 1 May 2004.

RNZRSA will be asking for new self-nomination forms to be completed by anyone who is interested in applying for one of these important and rewarding appointments. The new forms will be asking for more information concerning the nominee, including details of employment and the degree of involvement with Veterans and other ex-Service persons since leaving the Forces.

The deadline for the return of the completed self-nomination forms to the RNZRSA will be no later than 21 June 2004.
