Battle of Monte Cassino 60th Anniversary Commemorations Update

Fifty places have been reserved for New Zealand veterans of the Cassino campaign, and they will travel as part of the New Zealand delegation to Cassino, Italy, to attend the 60th Anniversary Commemerations of the Battle of Monte Cassino.

A Ballot to select the veteran party was conducted by RNZRSA at National Headquarters on 25 March 2004 in the presence of the National President RNZRSA and the Director Veterans’ Affairs New Zealand.

Final acceptance for travel by those successful in the Ballot will be subject to medical clearance by the veterans’ own GP as reviewed by NZDF medical staff.
